So as you know, yesterday was my first day on watermelon island 🙂 I ate a lot of watermelon! Today is day two, I am currently working my way through the delicious melon featured in the photograph above. I juiced one big melon with lemons and lime which made two litres of super refreshing, hydrating sweet nectar. I also have one smaller, sweeter melon to eat once I am done with my juicy juice!

Yesterday went well, though a little challenging. I had huge cravings for coffee all morning but my will was strong and I resisted the urge to give in to it. Yesterday is the first day in a very long time that I have not had any coffee, super happy about that! I love coffee but when I drink it I enjoy it but I really don’t feel like it is nurturing my body or my vitality, quite the opposite in fact. I did absolutely fine on my first melon day until I was stood outside in the pouring rain for four hours for work, and desperately craving something hot! My boss got a delicious smelling falafel after work and offered to get me one but I really want to see if my body feels differently after my melon feast so I declined the offer.

Upon arriving home I had some Yogi herbal tea which was so good after being wet and cold! I juiced a huge melon and drank that. I was really craving something savoury though so I did actually make a big bowl of zucchini noodles with a little sundried tomato puree and some avocado. Today I am going to try to eat more watermelon as I was a little hungry at bedtime so I did have a nine bar before bed.

One realisation that I had yesterday is that I am also a huge chocolate addict, whilst I don’t eat bars of chocolate often, I do have hot cocoa every day when I get home from work, sometimes even two mugs. I was having a massive craving for cocoa yesterday! I did not realise I was so addicted to it. My aim is always to make my life simpler, this includes my diet, the simpler the better. The more simply I eat the easier it is to shop and eating becomes more enjoyable when less time is spent preparing so the focus is on enjoying the simple beautiful flavours and colours.

Be addicted to nothing, not even to tea.

Last night I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. I think because my body was not loaded with cocoa and caffeine! Today I slept in a little but woke up feeling fresh as a daisy 🙂 I am still enjoying my juice and melon whilst writing this. I plan on doing some crafts and knitting today and seeing friends later and of course, eating lots of melon! I am feeling very blissed in today. I shall enjoy my lazy day, I hope you have a beautiful day too 🙂
