Grocery Haul!!

DSC_0427 DSC_0430 DSC_0435I returned from Monkton Wyld late last Sunday evening. I had had literally the best time guys, I would definitely recommend that you visit Monkton sometime. It was pretty strange getting back into the swing of things in the city. I know I was only away for three weeks but I sure got used to the countryside tranquillity and the clean air! I am finding it pretty hard to adjust to being back in the city, however I am getting back into the swing of things. High on my list of priorities was a grocery shop! I had returned home to an empty cupboard and some very sprouty potatoes so I dutifully headed over to Sunseed Organics to pick up some food.

Here’s what I got;

  • 18kg bananas
  • 2 watermelons
  • Apples
  • Tomatoes
  • Carrots
  • Onions
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • 3 heads of lettuce
  • Celery
  • Lemons
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Salad potatoes
  • Beetroot
  • Oranges
  • Kombucha
  • Avocadoes

From the supermarket I got;

  • Sundried tomatoes
  • Dark chocolate
  • Crystallised ginger
  • Pickles

I love going and getting delicious fresh, organic fruits and vegetables. I get so much more excited about grocery shopping than I do about clothes shopping hehe. What kind of girl am I?! I have to say my favourite thing from this grocery haul was of course, the watermelons! I get a bit giddy and crazy when I get my mitts on some good watermelon 😀 Nom Nommmm!

What have you guys been nomming recently?

Lots of love,

Olivia ♥

      • Hehe that sounds like a great way to start the day – I would get out of bed for chocolate! Yes I love raw chocolate and I make my own too as it is super easy and a lot cheaper than the stuff in the shops 🙂 there are lots of awesome recipes on the internet xx

  1. I recently starting having two squares of dark chocolate a day and it makes me feel great. It’s like a little stress reliever and I always feel instantly better after. Have you posted anything about making raw chocolate? I would to try it 🙂

    • Yey! I love that chocolate makes you feel good 😀 I think it is really good for you! No I haven’t posted about raw chocolate yet – I will though when I perfect my technique as I always guess the quantities when I make it and I get variable results! Hope you are doing great xx
