Fruity Grocery Haul

So in an ideal world, I would do all of my shopping at the wholesale organic store that I found in Bristol that I love so much… However, rent is due, and I have to tighten my purse strings, boo!

So tonight (sorry world) I went shopping in ASDA. I know, I know… The evil supermarkets I feel like a bad person for using them. When I have a better income, I vow to never use supermarkets.

So to the good stuff! I got 8 medium sized watermelons for £2.25 each, bargain of the night was 10kg of bananas at 10p per kilo! Those are destined straight for the freezer as I already have plenty of ripe bananas, mmm. I got 2 giant pineapples. Some celery and cucumbers (I already have lettuce). Some dates to make date chocolate pie with (recipe soon!). Oh, and some frozen blueberries and raspberries to mix in with my banana smoothies 😀 I also got some gluten free pasta for my dinners and some potatoes too.

All of my shopping came to less than £30. I literally do not remember the last time I spent that little on a weekly shop!

Let me know what fruits you have been eating this summer 🙂

Ciao for now,

Olivia.
